The America Agriculture Award of the Italy-USA Foundation
The Italy-USA Foundation has promoted the America Agriculture Award, a recognition for leading entrepreneurs of Italy’s finest agricultural businesses. Alongside the America Award, the historic award given to the most prestigious figures of international renown, the America Agriculture Award recognizes 300 talented Italian agricultural entrepreneurs who lead outstanding agricultural businesses that represent the best of Made in Italy and are competitive in the global marketplace and address global challenges. This internationally prestigious award represents qualification and certification of quality for consumers and markets. In addition to the award certificate, which will be presented at an official ceremony in Rome at the Chamber of Deputies, the entrepreneurs will receive a special scholarship to attend the Italy-USA Foundation’s exclusive online master’s program in “Leadership for International Relations and Made in Italy.” The winners of the America Agriculture Award and the associated scholarship are selected by the Italy-USA Foundation, through the Business Registry and the Chamber of Commerce system, based on various parameters indicative of the values and potential for competitiveness, sustainability and innovative investments within the Italian agri-food supply chain. Female agricultural entrepreneurship and that of young people under 35 are a key consideration. Self-nominations are not permitted. The Italy-USA Foundation’s master’s program is conducted in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (Agenzia ICE) and Gedi Gruppo Editoriale, which commissioned the project work. It is supported by institutional figures, directed by Professor Stefania Giannini and chaired by Ambassador Umberto Vattani, with the collaboration of an internationally renowned teaching panel of over 35 teachers.
