The America Award of the Italy-USA Foundation was conferred

The America Award ceremony, promoted by the Italy-USA Foundation, was held in Rome at Italian Parliament, Gruppi Parlamentari Hall, under the auspices of the President of the Italian Republic, Hon. Giorgio Napolitano. The jury has awarded Emma Bonino, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Paul Bremer, former Governor of Iraq, Guido Damiani, President Gruppo Damiani, Oscar Farinetti, President Eataly, Carla Fendi, Fashion designer, Gianni Riotta, Journalist and writer, Enrico Vanzina, Film producer. A special award was conferred in memory of Luciano Pavarotti, tenor, and was given to Nicoletta Mantovani. The Italy-USA Foundation, in the frame of the America Award, also conferred three silver medals of the Italian Government to three students of American universities: Anna Carlson, Cristina Cavalieri, Russell Gonzalez.
